Caitlin Quinn McConnell, cello
Cellist Caitlin Quinn McConnell, winner of the National Federation of Music Clubs Competition with Gladys W.Fisher Violoncello Award, Harvey Gaul Award, Lawrence Foster Violoncello and Marie V.Thiesen Awards, Tuesday Musical Club Competition, Opus I Music Club Competition and others. Extensive performances in the USA, Holland, Italy, Romania, and Germany, where she toured and was featured on German television. Guest cellist at NFMC National Convention with composer Phillip Lasser present. She received a full assistanceship to Duquesne University’s Masters program, where she studied with Misha Quint. Ms. McConnell was a member of the New York Women’s Ensemble, which performed in Carnegie Hall, and performed at the Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall. She performed Tchaikvosky’s Souvenir de Florence with Nikolaj Znaider, Boris Kuschnir, Eugenia Petrova, and Misha Quint in Germany. Upcoming performances include chamber music with Andrey Baranov, Anna Serova, Lenora-Marya Anop, Guy Braunstein, Basil Vendryes, among others. Ms. McConnell is Assistant Director of InterHarmony International and is involved in artistic administration, admissions, research, production, design, and marketing in addition to performing. She is an avid reader, enjoys studying languages, yoga, and running.
