Claudia Arroyave-Mendoza, double bass
PClaudia Arróyave-Mendoza is an accomplished double bass performer and educator with a distinguished career in both teaching and performance. She currently serves as a Double Bass and Theory Professor at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and has taught at renowned institutions such as the Escuela Superior de Música y Danza de Monterrey and the Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey. A certified Suzuki Bass instructor, Claudia is dedicated to guiding students of all levels with a personalized and engaging teaching approach.
As a performer, Claudia is a member of the Valley Symphony Orchestra and has held principal and section bass positions with ensembles including the Orquesta Sinfónica de la Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, the Orquesta Sinfónica de Mujeres de México, and the Orquesta Filarmónica del Desierto. Her experience spans orchestral, chamber, and solo performances across North America.
With a commitment to excellence in both performance and pedagogy, Claudia is committed to fostering a love for music and the double bass in her students while continuing to contribute to the world of performance.
