Liyan Sun, voice
After received postgraduate diploma of advanced studies in opera performance from Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, UK and undergraduate study of vocal and opera performance at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, China, Liyan Sun performed several roles in operas, such as Verdi’s opera, Falstaff Alisa in Donizetti’s opera Lucia di Lammermoor etc. She also sang musicals, such as South Pacific, King and I etc. She also gave recitals in UK, Canada, USA, and China.
In 2003 Liyan Sun started to be voice faculty at University of Windsor, Canada, many of her students became professional singers or music teachers, some of them got awards from various music competitions. Liyan Sun conducted a choir and gave recital at an annual summer concert with University of Michigan.
Liyan Sun has also been teaching vocal music in-person and online privately. She teaches a wide variety of repertoire in many languages, such as English, Italian, French, German, Spanish, Latin, and Chinese.
